Visit the Court House and Museum which can be opened by
arrangement (PH 53402086 or 53402186).The Court House is registered by
Heritage Council Victoria as a very early portable building brought to the site
in 1862 from Fiery Creek (Beaufort) goldfields. It was originally lo\cated in
the Government Camp at Fiery Creek diggings ( now Beaufort) being placed there
in 1856 and moved in 1867 to Skipton for 133 pounds. Now home to Skipton and
District Historical Society.
